79! Trick or Treaters, and I just turned off the porch light!
It hasn't stopped them from coming. I put my lolly pop pumpkin on the front porch, but my 2 year old is having a reaction to the MMR vaccine and I can't deal with both.

6 years ago tonight we moved into our home.

ARE YOU READY TO HEAR ABOUT MY WEEK!?!??!
Monday: Entered the drop off loop in front of the school - I was told if Riley could not exit the vehicle on her own I would have to park my van. I would not be allowed to exit my vehicle to assist my daughter. Meaning I would have to park in an over crowded lot, get both girls out of the van in freezing weather, walk them through a dangerous parking lot, to get Riley safely to the school. I REFUSED!
Tuesday: After contacting the Principle and getting Tim to rearrange the seating so our van would exit from the passenger side, so I would not have to exit my vehicle to get Riley out of the van, I was told to Park illegally in the handicapped parking spaces because Riley was too weak to open and close the van doors on her own.
Wednesday: Tuesday morning prompted me to bring my camcorder and write a very detailed email to the ACLU (THANK YOU EVERYONE who emailed me and told who to contact – they were very helpful.)
Thursday: Had it out with the Principle IN the drop off loop in front of the school – I know, oh so classy! But I was not about to give up my seat on this bus!

Friday: Principle feels that there may have been some miscommunication (on the part of the PTA) and I will be allowed to use the drop off loop and assist my daughter when exiting our vehicle.

And just incase anyone is wondering, in the state of Maine all public areas must be equally accessible (and NOT DIFFERENT) by all persons regardless of race, color, sex, physical or mental disability, religion, ancestry, national origin or sexual orientation.

The present day laws which would protect Rosa Parks now, protect everyone, even white, straight, married, Christian, Republican, Irish American, non-breastfeeding, blue jean wear'n, outspoken, SciFi loving, mini-van driving, mortgage paying, fully capable, mothers of 2.

God I love America!

I had brain surgery two weeks ago. they took out two big tumors that had metastasized from my lung. I'm having a miraculous recovery, faster than anyone ever thought possible and the Universe (God to me) has absolutely provided everything we've needed both large and small at the exact moment it was needed. Have you all missed me??? I seem to have become unsubscribed to all the topics I was subscribed to, can anyone tell me how to fix that?If you are a praying person, we appreciate all prayers and warm thoughts. I was absolutely amazed to find out that I could feel the prayers and the people who love me standing with me. WHo knew???

Glad you are feeling better. Maybe just subscibe again? A few weeks ago we had a weird day on the forum. Posts disappeared and so did the avatars. I think we are just finding out that other things went wonky on that day as well.
