Post subject:  i believe they should do the movie twilight over again
okay so new moon will be out, i am a fan of the books. i really dont like to see movies that i read the books to. but for twilight i couldnt help it. the movie was soooooooooooo bad to me. i felt it was a waste of my life,hours i cant get back. they didnt show the love connection that edward and bella had in the book. it seem like a crush to me the way they showed it in the movie. the movie was also very choppy, i feel they should had made more of an effort in making this movie. also what were they thinking giving edward weird lines.how can they mess up a really good book. im to afraid to see new moon. im not sure if you guys feel the same way. i just really feel they should put another twilight movie b4 new moon. also i dont agree with all the casting (dont kill me over that lol). but however i feel they picked the right girl to play bella, its like it was her life purpose to be born and play bella lol.i dont know, maybe im taking this a bit to much. being overly sensitive. however i do have friends that like the movie. i rather stick to the books.

I hated the movie, but then I hated the books too. My father saw the movie having never read the books and couldn't understand why we disliked it. Personally, I found the movie to be ten times more enjoyable than the books. I didn't have to sludge through pages and pages of poor grammar to understand the meaning in the movie.

when i first read twilight i was pretty obsessed but now i think it isnt that great. the movie was quite a disappointment. rob pattinson just doesnt fit as edward in my opinion. i think the only really good matches were alice and jasper. i dont know if i am going to bother to see new moon - i think i might because i like the volturi.

i love the first book and the second one is okay. but bella annoys me.but yeah im to scared to see new moon

The whole thing with Twilight is the fact that they had to change it up a little to make a movie. Honestly, the entire book was about Bella pining about how much she loved Edward and how cold he was and how she loved him and OH MY GOD JUST SHOOT ME ALREADY. All the action was packed into the last like, 50 pages. No one is going to sit through a movie like that. No one but the die hard fans of the books. The movie wants to bring in as many people as possible, not just those who know the story already.

Which is why all I can do is laugh at the movie because it takes itself so seriously. Heck, I've read the books, and honestly, I think they suck. But that's my opinion. The movie I went to go see to laugh at because I knew it was gonna be all OMG SRS BSNS. It didn't let me down in that aspect.

New Moon... I'm more excited for. I liked Jacob in the books. Really liked him. I'm kinda glad he didn't get Bella though because he can do a heck of a lot better than settling for her. Do I think it's gonna be good? No, not really. Again, I will go see it to laugh at how serious it takes itself.

My favorite book is Persuasion by Jane Austen followed by Pride and Prejudice. I also really like Tale of Two Cities by Dickens, The Once and Future King by TH White, and The Three Musketeers by Dumas. A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle is pretty good too. When I need a brain break, I tend to turn to Charles deLint or other Fairy Tale retellings such as Briar Rose by Jane Yolen or Fitcher's Brides by Gregory Frost.

EDIT: I also love Dracula by Bram Stoker and am a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan. Vampires DO NOT sparkle...

I actually hated the book, it is really bad. I find it really annoying that ALL the characters have a maximum of 3 emotions. Really, pick a character, and it has 3 or less characteristics. Bella is madly in love with Edward, is really clumsy, and doesn't care about the world at all. Edward in cold, beautiful and... I actually can't find a 3rd one...

But I have to say, I loved the books. :biggrin: :biggrin: I loved the story, it really caught me, I read them in three days or less.

And while watching the movie, the only thing I thought of was that someone should really hit Bella once.... At least. :twisted: :biggrin:

Wow this really gets me worked up :)
I am a HUGE fan of the books. I mean I'm not so obsessed that I'm like "OMG me and Edward are TOTALLY going to get married" I mean I don't get the mad over it but I think they are really great books. And then the movie came out... Kristen Stewart is great Physically for the part but in Twilight and New Moon shes a really bad actress. I LOVE her and I've seen her other work and shes good in those but shes horrible in this movie. Rob-watever his name is, is NOT ANYWHERE NEAR WHAT EDWARD SHOULD LOOK LIKE!! But that's just me. I mean I get worked up over the smallest things in casting like how Daniel Radcliff has BLUE EYES not GREEN! Woww that makes me sooo mad. But what really gets me about this is that people who never read the books whent and saw the movie, then read the book and now are obsessed with it. Now that in itself wouldn't be so bad BUT the whole team jacob, team edward thing is huge now and I think everyone who was an original Twilight fan before the movies knows why. ITS THE ACTORS!!!! Girls Saw the movies and now have decided which team they are on by the way the actors look!!!! You have to agree right? I mean everyone was OMG edward when twilight came out because rob was mostly the main guy. Now everyone is OMG jacob because Taylor is the main guy in New moon! I was team jacob from the very first when I read the book before they even very popular!!!!! So ig u can see why it makes me soo mad... LOL. I told you it got me worked up!

Hehe, I read all the books in a weekend. It's not my type of book, but I had no other reading material, and it was actually better than I thought it would be. I have a small obsession with wolves from time ago, so I was with Jacob all the way =] Some of the stuff was a bit predictable though...
All the movies made from the book will not be 'faithful' to it, simply because it would be too long and too boring for people who don't know the story, they have to cut down a lot of the finer detail, I think it's interesting to see how they interperate it, which is why I see the movies anyway. =)
I think Kristen Stewart is pretty good for Bella, but Rob Pattinson? Eh. Girls only say he's "hot" and "so fit" because he was cast for Edward, no one gave a **** when he was Cedric. :roll:
On another note, I read the Host, which I absolutely adore and look forward to the movie (if they do one) =)
